MULBERRY HOUSE STAFF RAISE MONEY FOR CANCER RESEARCH
22 JULY 2009
The management would like to congratulate the Housekeeping staff for taking part in the recent Epping Forest Race For Life at North Weald Airfield. Completing a course of 5 km, Jodi, Sammy, Rachael, and Jade, have so far managed to raise £250 of much needed money that is now destined to go towards the fight against cancer.
Organised by Cancer Research, Race for Life events take part across the UK allowing women to take part in a fun 5 km walk, jog, or run. Although referred to as a race, most contestants do not take their finishing position too seriously and are very content knowing that they are helping the aims of Cancer Research.
Arriving at North Weald Airfield on Wednesday the girls of the Mulberry House Housekeeping staff were met by over 3,000 other ladies of all ages ready to go and make a difference. The evening started with a warm up run by the Rosemary Conley keep fit team. As the race started in three waves of runners, joggers, and walkers, they left behind partners and friends to watch from the sidelines. Making their way around the edge of the airfield the ladies made it back to cheers of support.
